How to Teach Trampoline | Amazing Exercise Benefits | Adults | Routines MY TRAMPOLINE COURSE | Trampoline Videos Teaching Trampoline Moves
To get any good on a trampoline, you need to be taught. Mums, you need
to teach your own kids. You see, it’s when you break a move down and explain to your brain what you need to do that you start to accomplish the moves! Start by being strict on the safety aspects, and then very, very encouraging on building confidence. Constant praise helps overcome the fear that many trampolinists feel. I can not emphasize this enough. Even just plain jumping up and down sometimes needs some encouragement. As you move towards more complex moves, you need a voice coach going through the instructions, such as... “Arms, tighten bottom, 1.... 2.... 3....” etc. Refer to my free online coaching courses to get an idea of what I am talking about. Each move has a “coaches comments” box. I have 2 voices for teaching my students. Most of the time I am firm and
loud with my instructions, and occasionally I use my “ACTION YELL”! For instance, I had a student who had been doing backward somersaults for a year with her previous coach, with an instructor on the bed with her, holding her. After aiding her over several times, it was clear to me that this girl could do back somersaults better that I could. I was hardly touching her. When trying it alone, however, she just jumped, and jumped, and jumped.
Her mind just wouldn’t let her do it.
I asked her to trust me and requested she somersault on the count of 3.
1... 2... 3.... nothing! Tone of the coaches voice can really help with the psychological aspects of trampolining. Discover More about "Teaching Trampoline Moves"
